Missing Tracks...hmm....

Hi everybody,
I posted the following to the APEX during the week, and thought it might be
of interest to everyone here...

As everyone knows by now, the demo lists Nurburgring and Silverstone as
tracks in GPL - although these two were never *confirmed*..
Plus, there is the ToBeDecided track.. what will that be? The only track
names I remember being thrown around in the last year were Brands Hatch and
*MONACO*... Could Monaco still be in? Lets hope so..

Thinking about this, I had another thought(imagine that!):
"What happens if Nurburgring, Silverstone, and (Monaco/Brands/?) DON'T get
licensing approval.. what then??"

Does anyone know if Papy has some tracks "up its sleeve" so to speak..
(ones that haven't been mentioned, yet were in use back then - such as
Reims, Jarama, Clermont-Ferrand, Mont-Tremblant)

Sounds to me like an interesting problem.. lets hope that they WON'T NEED a
backup plan :)

They are never confirmed. Since the demo is at least in alpha stage, it was
done at least 3-4 months ago.  At this time, the 'Ring was normally into the
game, and they listed it in the track list. The same thing goes to drivers,
some of them who appear in the demo will probably not be in the title.

Monaco is still in negociations. Papyrus can't say NOTHING about it.

THEY CAN SAY NOTHING. NADDA NIET.  We were supposed to have a list of
official tracks around the end of March, but they probably delayed it so
they could spent more time negociating I'm sure.  But the tracks are all
modelled be sure.  They are only waiting for an official answer from the
Monaco/Brands Hatch/'Ring/Silverstone autorities.

Well, the same thing as past Papyrus titles. People will buy it.   No
Daytona/Indianapolis in N3, we will buy it.  Heck it's the reality man, if
the FIA, or the 'Ring authorities don't want to have the track in the game,
they will not let it ! (There is numbers of reason why).

The present official track is list is :

Kyalami
Mexico City
Monza
Mosport
Rouen
Spa-Francorchamps
Watkins Glen
Zandvoort

The present drivers who are licensed are :

Chris Amon
Lorenzo Bandini
Jean-Pierre Beltoise
Joakim Bonnier
Jack Brabham
Jim Clark
Ritchie Ginther
Dan Gurney
Denis Hulme
Jacky Ickx
Chris Irwin
Jochen Rindt
Pedro Rodriquez
Jo Siffert

IT's not a problem, It's just a reality pal. There is some obvious reasons
why they don't want to have the tracks modeled in the simulator.

Sorry to seem stupid but why, I can't think of any reasons why they
wouldn't allow it. I'm sure there are some very good reasons, I just dont
know them (yet) :-)
