Julian Data:

We developed a neat utility.  Actually I had some ideas and Paul Graham is
making it work.  The way it works!  you load in a group of racers.
Associated with each racer is the IP address of his ISP.  What the program
does is it pings
all the members in your league, clan, group or whatever.  This can be used
for GPL, NASCAR, Drag racing, or Quake like games.  All the people in the
group run
the program 15 mins prior to the event.  Everyone than knows not only the
status
of their connection to the racing ISP.  But it also knows the status of all
parties to
the ISP or to each other.  People that have AOL ISP, get red flagged.. hehe
People with poor connections get RED FLAGGED.. Its just another level of
connection
management that monitos, pings, latency, packet loss etc.   TEN or that TCP
adddress gives you a
single point to point. But you really dont know who might me causing a
problem in the race.
