on 34 Raceway (burlington - I think I got the name right) How fast are you
people with the stock cars? I ask beacause I'm usually relatively slow in
sims, and I haven't seen a fast laps page for this one yet..

It's just my 5 fastest laps (in the stock class) are :-
17.70
17.70
17.70
17.72
17.72

as you can see I'm consistent, but can't go faster than 17.70, if any of you
can, HOW?! it's really annoying me :)

Please help me

Steve

p.s. how many laps do these guys tend to run in RL? (yeah, we get to see
loads of dirt racing in the UK, so much that I hadn't even heard of it until
this forum.......)

OK so I put an Aerosmith CD on and in my next race 7 of the 15 laps were
quicker than 17.70, the quickest of which was a 17.49.... therefore I say
the way to go fast is to put loud rock music on the stereo and watch your
lap times tumble :)

I'd still like to know if anybody has any go faster tips?

If only I'd kept my mouth shut for another hour.....

Strange I did a 16.95 listening to puff daddy?
I think downshifting is the key here since you can't adjust the gearing...

16.03 is my personal best there (25% dry, in case you're wondering) -- I
usually turn laps in the 16.35 range, though.  I'm running the full version,
so I can tweak my setup.  I think with the default setup I can still turn
laps in the mid-to-high 16s.  It's all rhythm and coordination --
on-throttle, off-throttle, steer, counter-steer, on-throttle, off-throttle,
etc.

I did my 16.03 in 4th gear all the way around -- I can't remember if I
changed the gearing on my setup, though.  Downshifting might help, but
working the throttle right matters a lot more, I think.

Yeah you're right I did a 16.15 with and without d-shifting ... I have the
demo so I can't adjust the gearing....

Hi , i've downloaded demo at works yesterday. I've played yesterday at 12 AM and
today at 12 AM , so i've only play 2 hours with keyoard control.

here is my times :

track           car                     time

34 raceway      blue check zeus         16.33
Nocks Hills     Blue check zeus         20.19

well 2 case :

1- it's not really a sim
2- keyboard help control are very very good

I always keep 4th gear, and release accel key intermittently to keep control of
slide during turns.

I can't wait to try it at home with my MS FF Wheel :o)

HELP : HOW TO PLAY ONLINE WITH FIREWALL :o( Quake works fine, DTR don't :o(

yes i'm a little *** :o)

Good !

If action on keyboards are directly give to the physic engine, the car can't go
fast ( too much sliding, binary throttle :o) ). So if with keyboard i can go
faster than with wheel then its not a sim.

Like F1-GP, a sims that is playable with keyboard thanks to there help system.
But with wheel you do better lap times !

If you do better times with keyboard than with an analogue control, for me it's
an arcade game : too much help. in sims, help are here not to be the best but
for increase oure driving skils.

That's why if i make better time with keyboard than people with wheel, i
consider the game an arcade game, not a sim.

Anyway,That's not wasting my pleasure of playing DTR :o)
