First, I can't BELIEVE Green stole the pole from Dale Jr. like that :)

Secondly, I never realized how lucky Dale Jr. is until I saw the replays of
his wreck at Michigan last year.  I can understand now why he said (after
the season was over) it had really rung his bell and messed him up for the
rest of the season.

That is the most viscious wall contact I believe I've ever seen anyone walk
away from.  I think the Hutchins device probably saved his life that day.

Finally, did anyone watch the Goody's 150?  Did you catch the funny tricks
the camera played on your eyes during those two spin-outs where the cars
spun around and hit the wall?  They spun around, and looked like they were
almost stopped, then ZOOM, BAM it looked like they accellerated back to
100mph and hit the wall.  I had to rewind the UTV several times to look at
it again it was so weird!

No kidding!  Who IS this guy?  Makes me think his team figured out the same
secret that DEI has been harbouring for years at the restrictor plate races.
It will be interesting to see if Green's RCR teammates, Harvick and
R.Gordon, start becoming good at RP racing this year.

Their teams are all part of the RAD program with DEI.

Wasn't the crash that he was hurt at, California (Fontana)?

Yessir.  If I recall, there are 3 teams that joined together to combine
their restrictor plate info.  DEI, RCR, and....(I forget the 3rd team.)

It looked to me to be a LOT worse than his Dad's hit.  I think the N/H restraint made a major difference here.

The sad part is, he'll probably finish 38th or something.  Wasted pole :(
