That's the plan.  The easy part is to get the wheel to respond to the
driving surface and impacts (basically just shaking the wheel), but the more
difficult part is to simulate the actual feel of driving.  By this I mean
being able to feel the the onset of understeer, oversteer, or other driving
conditions.  The various manufacturers are working hard to make this a
reality, but it remains to be seen if and how well they can pull it off.

% Can anybody please explain me what Force Feedback actually really means?

% Will the steering wheel respond to steering and/or track characteristics?

The force feedback input devices have servo motors in them that will
react to input from the program.  Let's say we are talking about a
steering wheel and you smack the oustide wall, the wheel would then (if
the program supports it) ***ly turn itself to the left.  Hopefully
if the front wheels start to lose their grip in a turn, the wheel will
start to turn without any resistance.  Hit a bump at high speed and the
wheel will turn a little to the right then the left (all under direction
of the program).  Some of this will be dependent on the mechanical
design of the wheel, but most of it will rest on how well the program is
programmed.

Sounds great, but where can I find information about these great wheels?
