You might be able to find a map of it at www.forix.com.

I think they changed direction, and started running it counterclockwise at
some point.

Hey guys, i was watching the In Car 956 earlier, I notice that the 1983
Kyalami track is slightly different than the one in 67. Instead of having a
double right hander in turn 1 , it seems to be that they had make it into one
big sweeper. Can someone back me up on this?

The turns are reverse camber and with very little traction.
Make the turns seem longer. The first 2 turns in the
in car 956 are still the same right handers. But you
only see the entry to turn one on the second of the
three laps shown. On the first and third laps instead
of showing you turn one they cut to an in car view
and don't switch back until turn two. Kyalami in
the In Car 956 gets low marks from me for this bad
editing.

Regrettably, the new Kyalami is a shadow of its former self (why is that the
standard line for most of the classic tracks? - with the notable exception
of the Nurburgring, of course). It's now a tight, chicaned, "technical"
track - ideal for testing, I suppose, but with none of the beautiful rhythm
and flow of the original.

Phakisa (the new track near Welkom in S.A.) is allegedly a bit better,
although I haven't been there myself, yet. The Superbike championship is
being held at Phakisa this weekend.

There has been mention of the possibility of the two tracks alternating to
host the F1 Championship races.
