Thinking of buying the Logitech Momo Force wheel/pedal combo.

Anyone got any comments.

I asked Logitech about repairs etc.

Apparently they are covered by a 2 year warranty, but aftyer that it's a
little worrying:

To quote from their tech support;

Dear Mr. Garey,
Thank you for your enquiry.

It is not possible to purchase any spare parts for most of our products. If
a product stops working within warranty, the entire product will have to be
replaced, If a product stops working outside warranty, it is not possible
to purchase spare parts from us.

Thank you very much for your confidence in Logitech, and we wish you a
happy 2003.

Kind regards,
Nick van Raalte

Any comments?

This is Logitech's ludicrous position.  However, their wheels are quite nice
and not outrageously expensive, so..........

You just have to treat them like computer mice as far as repairs go.

Heck, after 2 years, I hope my wheel breaks so I have an excuse to get one
of those new fancy shmancy wheels that will be out in another 2 years!  ;)

Or you could try what I did....I wanted to IMPROVE my LWFF.  All I
did was take it apart...and...well.....it didn't go back together right...

I have the old LWFF (red soft grip) from several years back and an original
MOMO (leather wrapped) and both work flawlessly (although if my wife asks,
the LWFF is "broken" that's why I "needed" the MOMO).  ;0)

Don't hesitate on to buy the wheel.  It will out last your interest in using
it.
