Hi Ken,

critical voices are plenty even on the iracing forums themselves and
actually encouraged by both JH and the iracing staff.

When I triggereed a massive whine a couple of months ago about how
boring the milk truck was to drive, how I hated the incident points
system oh so much and how tedious and pointless those time trials
were, I got lots of feedback, support and only one "you must be crazy
bringing this up after two years on the beta team without a word"
(which wasn't true BTW as I'd whined plenty before this one, too ;-)
response.

So whatever iRacing is up to, I'm certain they do listen to their (now
paying) customers and try to incorporate their feedback and criticsm.

All the best, Uwe

Each update, usually at the end of each season, has always brought
substantial changes to the system, many of which are based on user feedback.

Trust me.  They listen.  We don't _always_ get what we want, but they DO
listen and they DO make changes.  As well as add new or improved content.

Every post-season update is like Christmas :)

Never had any doubt that they listen to feedback. Have seem some things
change as a direct result of it.  Iracing staff seem to be very
receptive to criticism and suggestions, they just can't please everyone
and can't get everything done at once. Some of their fans on the other
hand... well let's just say their enthusiasm sometimes affects their
judgment. ;-) Then there are the naysayers that ***on anything they
do.  Some however seem to be able to give an objective opinion, pointing
out both what is good and bad. Those are the people I hope post on how
things develop.

I guess we all will see how fast they plan on doing updates, especially
to tracks. After the Memorial Day races at Lime Rock Park, the track
underwent a rather major track redesign. While apparently the original
layout is being kept intact, they are making other changes to the
layout. The updates are supposed to be done by the time the American
LeMans Series makes it to LRP for the July 11-12 weekend.
I wonder how long it will take iRacing to incorporate the change into
the game/sim?

Normally I'd quote from "Airplane" here (you know the speech Rex
Kraemer holds to Striker over the mike while they've long departed
from the***pit) as it makes some references to christmas meaning
hell on earth and all that, but my memory is a little rusty. Something
about being kicked with iron boots and so on... ;-)

But of course you're correct, the updates have always been fun and
have usually managed to revive my interest in iRacing for at least a
couple of weeks.

Cheers, uwe
