Well, in just two weeks time it's the 4th quarter, and no news of a
finished product in time for the holiday shopping season as we've been
promised by the West brothers.  And whatever happened to the demo that I
first read about more then 2 years ago?  Now the rumors are starting to
circulate WSC has been cancelled.  Is this another one that bites the dust ?

Congratulations on helping perpetuate those rumors.

Joel....

I never saw a "promise" from the West brothers about any release date for
WSC.  Especially not one targeting this holiday season.  Where did you read
or see this promise?  Perhaps all of us just missed it (except for you)?

Demo?  There was no "promise" of such a thing either.  There's been lots of
speculation.....and based on the experience I have of other sim developers
eventually publishing demos of their new releases......one might reasonably
expect to see a WSC demo sometime near and around the final product release
date.  However, there's nothing about the industry S.O.P. of releasing demos
near product release dates....that requires the West brothers to follow it.
Is there?

It seems to me your post is nothing more than a fishing expedition for the
latest "news" on WSC progress.  Perhaps you'd be more successful by just
asking that question(s) in plain and simple language.  I would do it
something like this:

"What's the latest information regarding WSC development progress?  Has
there been any news about the production and release of a WSC demo?"

See how easy that is to write?  It also has a benefit to you of allowing
individuals who have the information you are seeking to provide it to you
without having to waste time "reprimanding you" for spreading rumors,
dis-information and innuendo about WSC.

Okay, that's it.  My self-imposed limit of 20-lines or less for all my
r.a.s. posts (replies) is used up.  I would have liked to have given you the
information you wanted about WSC, but there's not enough space.

Regards,

Tom

A few people have tried it in various forms over the past year or two.
Maybe they'll post here.

Well Tom, if you drop all the silly of topic post - you could prbably strech
that limit to 30 lines and give the man a proper answer! ;-)

Ed, my post wasn't meant to be snotty or anything like that, sorry if
you took it that way. I was just trying to show, to those that missed
it, what the latest answer is to his development progress question.
Chalk it up to a language thang... ;)

yes ive played it (and liked it) as i described in this forum a few times
already. It was largely ignored (as often when RAS gets a sense of actual
content). Go look it up in a archive if you like.

Martijn,

Don't worry, those with an interest in serious simulation noticed and
respected your comments.
