Track Creation (again)

Hi all. Sorry if this is a dumb request. I am trying to find a decent
tutorial on creating a track from scratch. I have seen a few attempts but
most just tell you what software to use with out any clue on how to put it
all together. I really need a step by step tutorial that creates even just a
simple track with scenery, buildings, trees, grass etc. As for the end use
of the track, well, MM2 would be cool but at the moment I am not too fussy.
Any software will do as long as it works ok. I have seen some of the free
software and they have not been that great, not that I am complaining mind
you. After all, they are free :-).

Thanks to anyone who can steer me in the right direction :-P

Tracks aren't created, they evolve.......ooops, sorry, wrong NG :-)

I don't know to be honest, but my guess would be to start with GPL for
the simple fact that there's a large community out there making tracks
and there are plenty of tools and documentation, the GPLEA website is
probably a good place to start

Looks great! Thanks very much for the help. If you find a similar tutorial
for other racing sims, don't hesitate to e-mail me :-)

Thanks again.
