This is not another '*** about GP Manager' thread, well, not quite! :-)

It is a fact, plainly seen from reading this newsgroup, that a
potentially great game has been seriously flawed by a host of bugs and
inconsitencies. I love the game, but I don't yet want to have its
children. I would, if MicroProse/Spectrum Holobyte released an update
that fixes all the things we are complaining about.

As a firm believer in the powers of market forces, I agree
wholeheartedly with the guy somewhere else in this newsgroup (Lars, I
think, apologies if not) that said we should e-mail MPS en-masse. Okay,
lets do it. It'll take five minutes of your time, that's all. If enough
of us do it, they have to listen.

Here is a suggested plan (comments...?)

1.  Compose your e-mail listing the three bugs that annoy you the most.
The temptation to list every tiny niggle by every user will probably
have an adverse effect. All bugs will probably be covered if enough
people join in.

2.  Keep it friendly. Credit where credit is due, so be sure to point
out that it is a good game that could be GREAT if they updated it.

3.  Send two copies, one to MPS and the other to SH. The e-mail
addresses are -

4.  Notify other users of any response you get by posting back to this
newsgroup.

Let's get it together on this one, and see if we can't put it straight.

Good idea Paul, perhaps we should take a vote on which 3 bugs are
the most annoying, so that they could start working on them first?

My votes would go to:

1: Cars coming in to the pit, and not stopping during race.

2: Lack of consistency during racing and inability of being able
to tell drivers to go for overtaking manouver (they never seem to
overtake, no matter how close) in fact messages sent to driver do
very little except wear out tyres and fuel more quickly.

3: Not a bug, but having to run machine in 256 colour mode.

I agree that they should also be complimented on an excellent game
idea, but made to realise that people will become disolusioned
very quickly if these problems are not put right.

Also it would be very useful if like Papyrus they had a
spokesperson on this newsgroup, now that is customer service!

Regards

Adrian

Is there a list of bugs found on GPM?  I just bought the
game and would like to see/be aware of the bugs.

Sam
