Erm...is it just me or have things gone mighty quiet on this one...

I mean, the handling in the demo was ***and that really is quite mild !!!

Yeh, it looks gorgeous, but handles like their last 2 rally games ie CRAP...

Anyone know any different as we're getting mighty close to the release date
and I need to know whether to AVOID it!!!

TIA

It's on schedule to be released the end of this month.

CRAP...

Well that's your opinion, based alpha and beta code. For the past month and
a half I heard real life, successful, rally drivers say almost every day how
excellent the physics model was coming along during beta testing.

I have now doubt this is the best sim ever, although I'm sure what the
opinions of this small group here at r.a.s. will be.

On a related note, has anyone heard anything new about Rally
Masters?  I know it's supposed to be arcade-oriented but I remember
someone on this newsgroup rating it highly when he tried it out at the
ECTS (?).  I'd also like to find out how they've pulled off the
handling of the Group B cars. Mm...  Lancia 037...

I've been out of touch with F1 for a long time (can't get tv race
coverage anymore), but your quote above spooked me a bit. Searched
around some F1 sites, found no news.

I hope this was some silly reference to something else?

I'm happy to assure you that Nige is still alive and well.
The sig is just something that I started using in early 1995 (there's
a backstory behind it but you're probably not interested) and have
continued using since.

I aplogize for any unnecessary anxiety I may have caused you
and will drop the sig to prevent future confusion.

David,

I asked you before, and I believe you never responded, but can you
tell me if the RC2000 physics are better then GPL's?

Regards,

Remco

If it doesnt change in a fairly aggressive manner from the beta code, not
even close.

David, I wish you would stop teasing the newsgroup!  :-)

Can't you just tell us how improved the physics of the full
version are over those of the two demos?  Or is the patched demo's
physics model the one that rally drivers are raving about?

The fact is that the handling model on the versions we've been allowed to
try, like RAC and IRC beforehand, sucks BIG TIME, and if we don't shout
loudly enough about it, it ain't gonna get fixed. I want a decent rally sim
as much as the next man, but if the demos are anything to go by, it's gonna
be a long wait.  GFX - lovely, wheel support - terrible, handling - any PSX
arcader is more convincing.

Informed, perhaps?

 Aaaaah, maybe make your sig something like;

 Nigel Mansell "Rest Easy"

 or maybe

Nigel Mansell "Been there, done that"..<g>.

Question is, are they saying that spontaneously, or are MF paying them for
their endor***ts?
