Cool IDEA for Future Version of NASCAR

During a RECENT Nascar Race (on ESPN?) they had cameras mounted under the
car that were aimed at the disc brake rotors .. you could see them heat
up and expand as the car braked and then cool as it accelerated.  They
also had a camera mounted on the fender right in front of the wheel well.
  What a cool angle.

Wouldn't it be cool if future version of Nascar allowed you to watch the
brakes heat up?  It sure would help us amateurs understand when we were
improperly using the brakes ...

the announcer of the race basically said that the driver was being "easy"
on the brakes -- he could tell by what he saw.  COOL!

That would be pretty good, but I was thinking more along the lines of having
the ability to put out like 10 free floating cameras at various locations
around the track and being able to select them during the replay (or while
racing for that matter) to view the race from, kind of like the old Stunt
Driver game where you raced the Shelby against the Porsche, VW Bug, etc. I
always like the view from the edge of the track that they show on TV. This view
sometimes comes up in the TV1 or TV2 cameras, but I want to be able to set one
there to view the whole race. Also, another cool camera angle would be from the
announcers stand. There were some good shots by ESPN during the Talledega race
from that vantage point, especially of racing down the back straight.
