Whining about games - what kinds of enthusiasts are you?

1. I will buy CPR when it comes out here. I have really few bucks to
spend, but I am a dedicated motor racing fan, and I think it is quite
astonishing that people/companies can put so much effort into making a
sim instead of just another "pop" game.
2. My Pc is probably not up to it. but then again, neither was my Pc
when I bought ICR2, GP2 and N2.
3. Help here in ras should be apprecciated. Flames belong nowhere. I can
understand reactions to them - I have had a few myself, and I was mad
for about 10 seconds. But, I had a *few*.
4. There are actually more people than us buying these games. What we
should do is to say what we think, but not in a ridicoulous way. I love
Papyrus, but hey, I'll give others a chance as well.
5. Reviews are great. Just don't try to bias them so heavily. Some
people might just not be able to see through that.

6. While writing this, I am not totally sober. but I'll stand up for it
tomorrow:)

I love racing, I race in real life, and it impresses  me how good sims
are getting. I had REVS on my C64, and I still don't like some of
Crammonds personal opinions on vehicle behaviour, but, I have enjoyed
all his racing sims for many hours...and would buy the next.

Be constructive, people!!

Waiting for CPR, GPL and N3 (and a new computer?)

Matt

Most of us are the most avid simracers you will ever find. We want the
perfection. We will always want it.  Even with Papyrus titles we flamed
them.  But not as Cart:PR.   It is not the simulator we were all awaiting.
But still there is a hope with the patch....

Still C:PR is very CPU demanding, more the it should be.  Too much.

Helping people having a better experience of his simulation "thrill" is the
basic of r.a.s.   But think about that.  By telling to those companies witch
features is good/not good/missing/bad/kewl/etc...  we help those companies
to make better game.  By not saying a word, who knows what those companies
could do to us <g>.  And by flaming some games, we indicate some newbies
here that a simulator isn't perfect.  We also learn to the newbies that a
XYZ is a sim title, not the WXY one.  The only racing simulators on the
market are:

Indy500: The Simulator
IndyCar Racing
IndyCar Racing 2
World Circuit
GrandPrix 2
Nascar Racing
Nascar Racing 2
F1 Racing sim
SODA Off-Road
Cart:PR (limit of sim)

Yes, but still we aren't the mass people, we are the racing elite, the
people that can make a sim success or not.  There is people like us
everywhere. Just take a peek at those air simulation newsgroup. There is
people like us.

We are all avid racing fans. I own every simracing title that exist, enjoy
them all, but some more than others.  The only point and the MAJOR that we
are all talking about. ***Cart:PR isn't the game we expected***  The
Microsoft support to us was very basic, and not considering us higher in
power than the normal user.

With great respect,
May the downforce be with you,
Good race at the Brickyard,  (-o-)
