Guys if you ever thought of upgrading your memory from 128MB to 256MB now is
the time!  At Dell's on-line store you can get 128MB PC133 SDRAM for $
77.95.  YIKES!

Go to www.pricewatch.com and be really amazed.  Watch for falling PC
prices the next few months.  Demand has tapered off and there's gonna
be a ***letting as the mfgs dump what's in the pipeline before it
gets "stale".

But Dell's Micron or Infineon SDRAM are better if you intend to overclock or
run it at lower latency (CAS2).

Every Dell system I've received lately had Micron (Crucial) CAS3.

Go to www.crucial.com, cut out the middle man and have your choice of CAS3
or CAS2.

Dell marks up their RAM a bit.  When I order Dells, I get the minimum RAM
and order extra from Micron.

I"ve determined that the excessive extra cost for CAS2 is not worth it.

I upgraded from PC100 to PC133 CAS3 and picked up 150MB/Sec in memory
bandwidth.  Spending the extra for CAS2 only raised that a tiny bit.

For a very slight additional cost, sure.  Why not.  But not at the current
difference (for quality stuff).

Also watch for cheap crap.  Buying RAM by price alone is a vortex into hell.

Buy the cheapest of a NAME  BRAND.
