I hope they concentrate on making it a sim and not an arcade game.
f1 2k2 was far to easy to get fast in.

Mieeeowwww :D

I liked F12001 (although I never really played it very often).  I think it
was a case that the data was slightly off rather than the underlying
physics, it seemed fairly sound.  I just want something we can use in our
LAN 100% grand prix league(other than MGPRS2!!!!).  Perhaps i'll have to
make it meself ;).  It'll be a few years yet though :)

The thing i didnt really like was the ability to do non-flat corners (eau
rouge, blanchimont, 130r) easily flat with no wing and an awful line. IMO
the grip in f1 2kx is about 30% to high at high speed... and thats waaaaaay
off

As far as I have heard,(and I don't have any inside info..just heard here
about other reviews that mentioned EA was not making another F1 title) they
are done with F1.  Nascar will be the new focus for the ISI/Tiburion team.
The new sim Nascar Thunder seems to have all of the ISI multiplayer
weaknesses.  i.e. HUGE throughput requirements, and no dedicated servers.
But I haven't seen that many Thunder MP posts yet, so maybe it's been
improved.

> I hope they concentrate on making it a sim and not an arcade game.

here's my wish list:

- sort the low speed handling problems
- get a proper auto-upshift function, that doesn't disable manual shifting
- let us preset gears for corners
- make traction control strength a pit setup option, not a game option
- let me drive my victory lap manually
- AI IN MULTIPLAYER DAMMIT!

that'd keep me pretty happy, I think.

ISI has nothing to do with Nascar Thunder other than providing them
the F1 200x engine.  Tiburion did all of the modifications to it.

If it's true that ISI is done making F1 games, I'd assume they're
probably done making simulations period.  Wonder where the NT2k4
engine will be knicked from in that case.

It's almost not surprising.  They probably looked at the sales figures for
GP4, threw their hands in the air, said "The world is crazy.  We give up!"

You obviously didn't watch the Belgium Grand Prix this year....

Where do we look for the next decent F1 game :(.  I was hoping they would do
some serious network code :/

No, it's just because you're *so* talented.  There you go, is that what you
really wanted to hear?

Why is it too easy?  Because it doesn't contain a moronic memory test like
the original Nurburging?  (Probably the stupidest "race" track ever devised)

Hmm in my part of the world, GP4 is a sales disappointment (so was GP3).

So I guess for you any kind of large track venture such as the Mille Miglia,
the Carrera Panamerica or heck about every rally stage is moronic?
