CART signs deal with ARD for Germany, and probably Sky for Europe We have
it on very good word that CART has done a deal with ARD in Germany to show
CART races live, and are close to announcing a deal whereby Sky will show
all CART races live throughout Europe. We await the formal announcement.
We also hear CART will indeed have an international TV announcement before
Long Beach. MC
Just checked ARD teletext. No mention of CART on Sunday listings. Sky can
only be subscribed to in the UK (and Ireland?).
Motorsportfans are being screwed bigtime this side of the pond.

Well, if true, that's not too bad. Uncharacteristic move for ARD, though.
Can't remember them showing any sport live in prime time (most CART races
are 7pm-8pm out time) on Sundays. Any German driver in CART this year?

I was gonna make a quip about how with so many Brazillians there must be
some German ***lines mixed in there...but nawwwwwww......:)
A few Canadiens, about 3 Yanks, a Sweede, an Ozzie and a couple of
Mexicans, one Italian, and two Japanese and just about all the rest are
Brazillian.(although Christiano da Matta has what sounds like a French
Accent rather than a Hispanic accent. How'd he manage that?)
