Steering wheel opinion wanted

I'm new to the racing sim scene and would like to spend a modest amount on a
wheel.

Two I'm considering:
Thrustmaster NASCAR Pro, which I've seen locally for $70 on online for
about $51;
Thrustmaster NASCAR Super Sport, which I noticed on Thrustmaster's that
I found online for $58.

Opinions of these two and or a better one for a similar price?

Thanks in advance!

I hate to say it, but....  Bite the bullet and buy a Force Feedback wheel.

I just got my first PC wheel (MSFF) after having been a long time keyboard N2
racer.  I also had a wheel that I used with my playstation.  Wow!  There is no
comparison!  Now you can get a MSFF for around $100US (? $160 Cdn) give or
take.  Although it maybe a bit notchy, it is an incredibly emmersive experience
that you'll be sure to enjoy.  Now if I could only figure out how to drive the
damn thing....!

I've had a Nascar Pro for about a year and a half now, and am generally
pleased with it.  Had the typical problems with pedal springs breaking -
Thrustmaster promptly sent me replacements (and extra spares) after an
e-mail, though I think the new company that's taken over Thrustmaster may
not have the same policy.  If not, the springs look like they could be
replaced at any hardware store.  The pots are still okay and I haven't
needed to clean them yet.  The negative thing I'd say about the wheel is
that it seems kind of delicate, and I doubt you could thrash it around
without breaking it.  But if you're careful, there's no reason it shouldn't
last a year or two without needing any maintenance at all.

I have both -- I'd personally recommend the Super Sport over the pro,
regardless of price.  Check out some of my reviews for more ideas:

Today I returned my third Nascar Charger steering wheel back to shop.
Each Nascar worked about two weeks then pots went mad.
Now I'm happy owner of Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Wheel.
It costs but it is good.

Do not ruin your driving games with Thrustmaster!!
