Tony Brown's Quote:
I knew that I could run faster than the current top qualifying time of
6.504 but I also knew that in order for my car to run a 6.504 or faster
that I had to stage with the tire temp perfect and also shift perfect or I
would go slow.  When I got into the game I was a little nervous.  This was
a lot different from the open bracket event that I had run.  I did my
burnout and staged with the tire temp exactly as I needed it to be, waited
for the light to go green, and launched.  When I took off the car went a
little right so I corrected it, about 3/4 of the way down the track I knew
it was going to be a good run.  I had hit all my shifts the way I needed to

and the car was right in the middle of my lane.  After I saw my ET I was
very e***d because I knew I was the last person to run for the night.  On

the second run I was a little too e***d and I dqed trying to better my
time. Congratulations to everyone that qualified.  I would also like to
thank Thomas Enterprises for sponsoring the event, Epix, and all of the
SHRA staff, you guys did a great job!

If you need the standings again, let me know, I will send them to you or
they can be found on the web site.
