You are quite right, but the particular example you are referring to
appears to be far more of a case of someone who thinks they are being
"clever" and cannot be bothered to actually communicate with us.

"ur" or "u" do not seem to be mistakes that someone to whom English is a
second language would make. Most non-English speakers are far more
careful about language than us :)

Also, I wish I could set my kill file for such abominations as "m8" or
"l8r". I almost always ignore any post that contains these. Language is
rightly an evolving entity but there are limits!

Richard
PS: Apologies to Joel Putter if indeed English _is_ his second language

Neem me niet kwalijk Robert, maar wat probeer je ons duidelijk te
maken? :-)

>Yes, you are absolutely correct.  English is the only language in the world
>where sentences are separated by periods, and where some sort of
>capitalization is used.  How silly of us.

>Anyone with the smarts to learn 2 ( or 3 or 4 ) languages, should be smart
>enough to figure out where a period goes.  And capitalization is not a
>'English only' thing either.

>Besides,  he spelled most of his words right!  :-)

greetings,

See?  Even gibberspeak can be properly punctuated.   :-)
