Papyrus or someone please help

I cant get N2 to recognize the port my modem is on in the multiplayer
settings. When I change my modem to another port the game always offers either
no ports or the port that my modem is not on. For the record I have a Gateway
2000.  Please help. I know I cant be the only one who has had this problem.
Gateway will not help. Thanks.

  I assume that you have the Telepath 33.6? If it is not the one that
 works only in Windows, then you need to look in your modem manuel or
 call Gateway. The Telepath has jumpers that need to be configured to
 work in Dos.
