NEED HELP .. w/Hi Res carset ... GPL 65

by ltmem.. » Mon, 05 Dec 2005 16:05:10

Hello

I just dopwnloaded them GPL 1965 mod from the "Speedgeesers" website.

problem is this ----

The "lite" carset works fine, but the Hi Res carset crashes to the
desktop each time i attempt to start the program.

Also ------- for some reason -- all my GPL67 carset was erased! and
the Hi Res set was in GPL 67 folder to begin with.

I can put the files to GPL 67 carset in again, as I had them backed
up, but can't for the life of me figure out how to get the 65 Hi Res
set working.

If I installed the program wrong, let me know how to correct it or
install it correctly.  I thought I followed the directions to the "T".

Your assistance will be appreciated.

Doug:

I know the initial setup can be a bit tricky at times. One of our new
members had a heck of time setting it up. But an install guide written
by Bernd Nowak that is posted on the ADC site has been proven to be
successful. You can find the guide here:

http://adc.speedgeezers.com/gplhtml/GPLInstallAnd65Mod

It might mean you may have to restart from scratch, but the end result
should be a working 65/67 installation.

Thanks for the tip, Fletch.

Went to the info you suggested and downloaded and printed the entire
setup guide packet. ------------- lots of info here and things I
DIDN'T do the first time.

Turned out that I had to completely reinstall the entire GPL ---- from
scratch ---- thank goodness I had all the files backed up on disk.

Took a while, but eventually I had everything working !

the things we do for pleasure!!          LOL

Again, thanks for the info.
