Well I've been up to my hacking around in files again.  Not a flightsim this
time but the Castrol SuperBike Racing demo.  It's very easy to do a
multitude of cool things in the demo, including split screen 2 player racing
(although it's not real stable yet but it does work).  I've actually raced
in novice modes through professional.  I'm still trying to turn on ACE mode
for ultrarealism.  Racing on any bike you want is very easy.  You don't even
need any sort of hex editor, but just a TEXT editor like Word pad or notepad
in Win95.

     Here's what you do.  Open the text file that say's "magdemo".  Scroll
through it and you'll see all kinds of things you can play around with.  Not
once has it locked up on me for changing something (2 player mode was shakey
though, try it and you'll see).  Mostly it's increadible stable software.
Ok, now the good stuff.  You can change you position in the position
variable.  You'll see this...

Positions=1,0,11,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
(you can see that 1, that's me now, it used to say 11 for 11th place)

PlayerCars=0,1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1
(not sure what this does yet)

ModelTypes=2,0,10,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,1,11,12,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,0,0,0,0,0,0
,0,0   Swap out first listed number  for a new bike.

DriverModelTypes=0,0,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,1,0,0,0,0
,0,0,0,0   I believe this changes drivers team colors (on driver)

There is a ton of other things you can change.  Too many for me to list
here...  Try it and have fun!

     Ok that driver thing does work.  In the first person view he still has
Castrol colors, but any other view and they reflect the change.  I'm dying
to try some wheelies and catch air.  Closest I've come though is just
slamming on the brakes and watching the bike to a very small endo (rear
wheel goes in the air a foot or two).

In the game  hitting shift-O (letter not number) changes the display mode.
You can get it to the point where there are no textures, looks silly but
interesting.  Also, after you hit pause to watch a replay, the 4 and 6 keys
on the keypad do all kinds of VCR type features.  I even think there's a way
to save your  races in the demo.  I'll look into that more.  That's it for
now.  Going to go try and find more things.  Let me know if you come up with
anything I haven't already...

I messed with it the first day I got it and changed the race length
number of laps but they have a timer hidden somewhere else that cuts
in after about 5 laps.
