I know this isn't a sim, but my 8 yr old daughter LOVES the game and it
isn't working properly now. I re-installed it and now it goes all funny when
palying. I updated my vid card and CPU to an AMD Duron 750 and an Nvidia
GeForce 2 Ultra...so it installs fine but I tried it quickly on quick race
and when driving off the highway into the city......the sky and buildings go
all weird. They are all triangle-y like. It is also like always driving
towards a geometric shape changing wall a block in front of you. Makes the
game unplayable. I tried uninstalling then reinstalling again to be
sure......same thing. Can anyone help me with this, it'll make my daughter's
weekend.

You changed video cards...so possibly you are NOT installing Midtown
madness properly for the new card.  What video choices do you have when you
install MM.  You 'should' be alble with that card to run games either with
Direct X(sometimes called D3D) or Opengl.

(btw..what was the OLD video card?)

It's NOT a video drivers problem, "it's in the game".
Get Microsoft's MM2 1.01 Patch, which adresses the GeForce problems.
Maybe one of these links still works:

http://www.racesimcentral.net/***.net/game=2
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
If none works, just search for a "Midtown Madness 2 Patch" on google.
Hope it's not too late to save your daughter's weekend.

I seem to recall something about going into the game options and turning off
pedestrians. Might be worth shot, if nothing else works!
