Not too many Drag Racers here unfortunately.  I do know one of the
developers drops in from time to time(at least I think Motosims did
NHRA)...perhaps he'll spot the header and provide some help.

Is this in the fuel car game or the pro stocks?   I don't know of anyone
that got split axis to work in the fuel cars, but it works good in the pro
stocks.  Too be honest the controls have always been fubar in NHRA1 and 2.
The pro stock game is a great game on the other hand.  There are a couple
patches for both, but I can't remebemer what they fix.  I love the pro Stock
game with FF cranked up.  The woman saw it one day and asked "whats wrong
with your wheel!?!"   lol probably afraid I was gonna buy another one.

AFAIK, split axis isn't available. This has to do with the
old controller technology that the NHRA series (through Main Event)
is based on.

One reason why improving this wasn't a higher priority is that it isn't
important to be competitive for drag racing. As an extreme example, in
prostock, neither the brake nor the throttle is important. (The brake
pedal is off and the throttle is full well before you launch. You don't
even "pedal" the cars (drop throttle) if you lose traction - just up
shift early and reduce the gear ratio to stop excessive wheel spin.)

In the Top Fuel class, the time required to move the pedals to
full throw would make you non-competitive in online racing.
That is why the game has settings such that only a very small throttle
pedal throw is required before the throttle signal is sent full.
In the top fuel game, you have to get the brake off and the throttle
on as quickly as possible. I expect most people use buttons for
the pure speed of actuation.

Our new game will be completely configurable in this reqard, as
expected. But the new game is entirely rewritten using our new
technology, that all comes in together. There wasn't much point
patching the controller software alone because of all the other
things that would require touching at the same time.

Thanks for jumping in Matt.  We value real info instead of most of the
press release kind that we often see.
