What kind of lap times are you getting there?

Uh, that would require making a complete lap wouldn't it?  I guess you
didn't click on the link.

Really I'm just kidding around.  I have not yet made a serious attempt at
driving this track.  I was so elated after finally getting a few games to
work in XP that I drove around like a drunk and ended up on my roof.  That's
what the picture shows in the link I posted.  I guess I should have been
more obvious, that link looks like it is just my sig, but it is a link to a
picture that people were supposed to actually go look at.  Sorry for the
confusion.

RA rocks in both F1 2002 and GTR 2002 (esp. the latter, and of
course in GPL ;-). I think it's one of the best tracks in the
US (at least of those that I have "driven"), nearly as good as
Road America aka Elkhart Lake.

My times so far, after maybe an hour or so of running:

F1 2002, BAR: 0:56.xxx
GTR2002, 360: 1:15.xxx
      Diablo: 1:09.xxx

The AI are considerably faster than I can manage into and out
of the last chicane before the downhill section, so I guess
there is some time to be gained there.

Also, has anyone noticed that sometimes broken down vehicles
take a long time until they are cleared of the track? During a
practise session I had a Porsche sitting flat on S/F for at
least 20 minutes, looked really strange ;-)

Cheers,

uwe

Running the Henrik Roos Viper I've gotten down to 1:12:323..  But I'm
leaving plenty on the table in several turns.. Great track,, lot O'
tweaking to be done hitting the turns for max speed.

I noticed the AI don't pit worth a crap, ahhahha I get punted from my
pitstall during practice....

I felt like they were slowing me down, so I dropped them off at the previous
