Was this pic taken before or after SCGT modeled the track? I don't see the chicane at the
end of the backstretch like it is in the game. I'm not too familiar with the track, so I
didn't know if the chicane was added recently or taken away recently...

Love this track on SCGT either way...

Warlock!

The pic is dated February 1993 - and AFAIK the redevelopment was quite
recently. Unfortunately there are no more up-to-date pictures of the track
on TerraServer.

The picture shows the track as it was configured with
the infamous "Gravity Cavity", which was replaced with
the current chicane as the track is configured now.

Wow, I didn't know Road Atlanta was that close to the Atlanta Motor
Speedway!  (that is the Atlanta Motor Speedway right?)

If you're talking about that little piddly thing to the northeast of Road
Atlanta course, I doubt it... that's either a 400yd running track or a
dirt oval - it's nowhere near big enough for Atlanta Motor Speedway
(which BTW is at

>That little track is Lanier Speedway.  A 3/8 mile ( or maybe 1/2 mile)

paved track which holds some NASCAR races (All-Pro etc) and local races.
I'll never forget the saturday nite that I was at a IMSA race and someone
got the idea of taking a GTP car over there and broke the lap record by
several seconds.  I was watching from the hill across the road.  Hope this
clears up any confusion.
