During pitting under green at Daytona, the spotter said, "Uh, oh, they're
having trouble with the lug nuts.....okay, now they got 'em."  I lost 3 or 4
seconds!

I've seen that too... Apart from the AI settings for each driver, I
believe that the teams pitcrew also have a setting which will deem
how fast and efficient they are.

Very cool.

Cheers,
Rod.

If you're in jeopardy of going a lap down, can you stop the
repairs, leave and come around again?

Yup.  On the F9 Pit Stop Pop-up..just press the space bar.  Then blast out
of the pits.  Don't be too surprised if you don't have a lot of time in the
pits the second time around.  Those pit road speeds can be killer!

Does this actually _work_ now?

In N3, this never worked right.  You just sat there for the same amount of
time it would have taken for the repairs to finish in the first place :(

It always worked in N3, or N2.  Be sure of that, it happened lots of time to
me.  You just had to remember that after pressing SPACE you had about
10seconds of wait before they jacked you down.  I believe it's like that
also in N4, to simulate the time it takes for the crew to stop working on
the car and let you go.

Well, all I know is if all I wanted was a splash of gas, no repairs, and no
tires, that was the longest damned drink of Gas I ever saw!
