compare it with GPL. But to have a little more fun on it, are there any
patches, like sound and graphics? The original-sound is very bad!

All you have to do it shut down SOS, go to
start>programs>sierra>grandprixlegends> and select the gpl program icon.
Then forget about SOS, it was never really there.
There's another patch too called the 4FPS patch, this uses the usual 1 frame
per sec and turns it into a blitzing 4, nice huh?
Another patch is the one which makes the box say the system you really need
to run the game, cos we all know the specs on the box are about 200mhz
wrong.

Now that would be good. Did anyone ever do a 1937 carset for GPL? a number
of the tracks used in the 67 season were in use 30 years earlier after all.
If nobody's done one yet ( I doubt it), then this would surely be a
challenge for all budding mod-makers
Well, the faux-watercolour paintings that are on the menu screens would make
really nice Windows wallpaper, if they could be extracted. By the way,
there was a great feature in one of the Classic Car magazines called
"Opposite Attracts" with various photos of cars doing serious opposite-lock
drifts. One showed the old Auto Union, with the very small looking driver
working it hard, and really sucking on his teeth with the effort (or
apprehansion). There is another great picture of a 40's period F1 racer,
the driver has it well out there, and he's casually smoking a cigarette
while doing that! Sorry to be vague, but I think it was Classic &
Sportscars, with two Porsches on the cover.
