Just picked up a copy of N4 and been going through the manual.  Here are
some things that might be of interest (and note, some of this hints at
penalties, but doesn't specify what):

Speed on entry to pits - 15 second penalty
Speed on exit - stop and go
merge when spotter tells you to - black flag if under green, longest line if
under yellow
enter pits crossing grass or not using access roads - stop & go?
don't pass leader on restart before s/f - thrown out if leader too slow or
trying to cause a bf for someone
don't pass car on same pacing line before s/f
dropping fluids/debris - bf
reckless driving - dq
pit on short lane at SP - will be held extra 12 seconds
pass stop/go at end of pit road - longest line

Funniest thing I've found so far - on page 78 of the manual, the list of
places to get more info on the web includes RSN.  Pretty funny since Bill
pulled the plug on it last night.  fyi, the others listed include SASCAR,
Mike Ostrow's site, and Lightspeed Motorsports.

Also seen a report on another board that the driving is much better than in
the demo.

Do you still get BF'd when spun out into pit road?

Yes you still get the BF if you spin out of T4 onto pit road.  The problem
I see with fixing this is that people can learn the art of spinning into
the pits at a high rate of speed... correct the spin and gain an
advantage.  Granted, it's not an easy thing to learn, but with the
advanced physics models we're seeing these days, it's entirely possible to
induce and correct spins on a regular basis given the know-how and
practice.  Heck I have no problem getting the car to spin (whether I want
it to or not), and getting better and better at correcting them.  Where
does one draw the line on this?  It's a difficult situation and I think
Papy and MGI have no choice but to leave it the way it is.
