FSAA on which cards?

by parche » Tue, 27 Jun 2000 04:00:00

Hi all,
Apart from the V5, which video cards do FSAA?. I believe some of the
GE-Force ones do, but which one(s). Are there other makers cards that do
FSAA?
                            TIA.

AFAIK, the Geforce cards are the only other ones to offer FSAA.  Note
that the Nvidia FSAA is in software, and not in hardware.  From what
I've read, the quality doesn't come close to the V5's (the superscaling
technique of the Geforce doesn't work as nicely as the V5's jittering),
there's a huge performance hit, and it's not as universally compatible
(esp. D3D) as the V5's.  If FSAA is a big deal to you, the Voodoo 5 is
the only way to go at the moment - I'll be getting mine in a few
weeks :)...
