ALLEN BOYD OF TEAM CHECKERED FLAG MOTORSPORTS WINS THE LIKEREAL THRUSTMASTER
LAN SPEED CHALLENGE PRO DIVISION NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

COLUMBUS, GEORGIA - January 15, 2001 -- Allen Boyd of Team Checkered Flag
Motorsports wins the LikeReal (http://www.racesimcentral.net/) Thrustmaster Lan
Speed Challenge Pro Division National Championship.  The best Nascar3
drivers, having qualified in previous regional LikeReal LAN events, came
from Canada, New York, Maine, Maryland, Indiana, Florida and other parts of
North America.  The Pro Division's Championship consisted of 7 races, IRP,
Homestead-Miami, Watkins Glen, California, Talladega, Bristol-Night and
Indy.  Allen won 4 of these 7 races, Homestead - Miami, Watkins Glen,
Talladega and Bristol-Night, allowing him to win the overall National
Championship by 41 points.  Complete results can be found at sim-racing.com.

Team Checkered Flag Motorsports (http://www.racesimcentral.net/) was
formed in January of 1998.  TCFM got it's start in a pickup race where the
two founding members, Jack Kloeber and Allen Boyd literally came together.
They began to race together in pickup races and started exchanging setups.
Allen
asked Jack to team up with him in what would be his first year in a
new league called SCOR. Jack agreed.  They each brought along
good friends to the team. Jack brought on Kevin Gerth (Kegg), the two raced
each other by modem feverishly before the days of TEN. Allen brought along
long time friend Charles Stevens (C_Stevens), who was really pumped when TEN
came along, Allen had raced Charles quite often by modem with Nascar1.  Team
Checkered Flag Motorsports took its name from a racing restaurant "Checkered
Flag" that was in Lakeside Industrial Park in Mooresville. Ironically, the
restaurant is
now gone, but TCFM racing is still around and we have no plans of "going out
of business".
