Rally Masters - can't reverse in automatic mode! HELP please!!

Playing in multiplayer mode I can only seem to
get 2 choices of car & both are automatic.  No
prob, but when I crash (reasonably early most
times) I can't get into reverse & have to restart
game!  Not great for the others racing!

Can anyone out there please help...thank you.

BTW game is great, sound & graphics stunning.
We're playing on 2 PIII 600 HP Kayaks with Sound
Blaster Live cards & 32Mb graphics - awesome!

Change gearbox to manual offline and it will be manual online.

To get the car in reverse with automatic just hit the brakes when u have
crashed it will go into reverse.

Doesn't work for me, if my car is in front of a wall, I can press the
brake, release it, keep it pressed for a minute - nothing happens.

Send a mail to the support ...

I'm using a Saitek R4 Force Wheel, no problems with other games.

Problem solved:
In the controller settings -> braking, the program has set something
like "0x000234", changing it to something like "Saitkek ... Y" solved
the problem.

Nice game, but horrible controller setup.
