And at BEST BUY no less!  Couldn't resist the remote possibility that this
game might be worthwhile:  One hour later:  I'm out $39.95 plus tax.

And now what?  I just toileted over forty bucks in less time than it would
take me to spend that at a ***, and that might actually be fun!  This is
the only industry I know of where you are baited into a product with no
warrantee!

If I bought a book I hated, I could take it back, go to a movie and not
satisfied?  Can get money back.  Hate the lamp you bought from Pottery Barn
(did I mention I was married?) return it.

PC Software:  you're screwed.

Someone tell me that Papyrus/Sierra/Whoever isn't the only company that will
refund your money if not completely satisfied - Can I send this coaster back
to EA, or will they laugh me into next week?

Sorry for the rant but I'm miffed.  Anybody wanna buy this from me?

Parke Cochran

Grainy graphics
Driving model ok.
Shallow menu, racing, no career mode
Tracks - is this a joke?  The dogleg of Dega looks like Homestead- flat as a
pancake.  They are the Event Sponsor at Dega and they missed it, bad!
(trust me)

What does the manual say about returns?  Whatever you do, let them know how
disappointed you are.

Doesn't EA have a 30-day satisfaction guarantee or something like that?  Check
your manual and the box closely.  I think that you might have recourse directly
with EA.

Where i live, (Sweden) its up to the companys themselfs if they want to do
that. Most does of goodwill, but there arent any rules that say that they
have to. Only if its broken etc, they have to

I guess you can buy a game, copy it. return it.. and get a new one.. copy..
return it.. etc
and who wants to buy the game that has been used?
with cofeestains in the manual, etc.

Actually, if you read up on Swedish consumer laws, which I would imagine
are pretty similar to Norwegian consumer laws, the consumer has more
rights than they are aware of, in Norway for instance there's a 2 week
"grace" period where if you regret buying something, you can return it,
certain conditions applies of course

As a shop owner I'm extremely pleased that most consumers don't read up
on these laws :-)

Beers and cheers
