Thing is damn near as flat at Martinsville. Don't even think it's banked as
much as the old Bristol..... *sigh*

You have been spoiled by other various non-realistic renditions of the
track.  This one is the real one.

Sit on pit road where it is flat and you can see the banking. If you are
on the straights looking at the corners it doesn't look that big because
you are already on a 16 degree bank on the straight. Also you can't
notice the banking on the straight because of the bigger banking in the
corners which make the straight look and feel flat.

Are you saying the real Bristol is flat?  Then why do the commentators always
mention the steepness of the bank?

Those are the published specs that the track likes to advertise, but if
you've walked on or driven the track in real life you'd know the actual
banking is no where close to that.

It is different, isn't it :)

I've deposited no less than 100 fenders on the exits of turns 2 and 4
already :)

Do you have any idea what the hell you are talking about?! I've driven RPDE
on Bristol and believe me frenchie-IT AIN'T FLAT! As a matter of fact-the
only thing that won't roll down from the top of the banking would be your
flat head!

While I haven't driven on the track, I have walked it more times than I can
remember, and it certainly looks like accurate specs to me.  I was there the
time they set a VW beetle up against the wall between turns 1 & 2, pushed
the car over, and rolled it down the banking.  If those specs aren't
accurate, then they are pretty damn close.
