Does anyone know of a way to dump out a pcx file of a screen shot like in
N1, with hitting the prnt screen button.  Just wondering.

Press the \ key.  It only works in the regular version.  In the
Rendition version you'll get a garbled pcx.

Yes, \ is the key, but be sure to pause the game before you take a screen
shot. I learned from experience. (Trying to press enter, and missed)
