LeMans times anyone???

Cool, I did a 3:52 with the default Honda! I beat Eldred at something!
Then again it was my only clean lap there to date! :-(

Hah! I can do consistent 3:40's with at least one spin per lap guaranteed to
e*** the crowd in my zippy little Ferrari!! Beat that!
Robin
P.S. personal best in the Ferrari is 3:31.0 with no spin... now if I could
just put together more than two laps without a spin I might have something
to brag about. Top speed I can get out of the Ferrari is 197 with Alison's
Spa Ferrari setup and the 5th gear changed to a little taller one.

I finally got a 3:31:20 with Allison's Spa Ferrari, 199 tops.
Several mistakes which I think I can clean up with practice. But the
AI are doing 2:20's! I love those GPLEA dashboards so much I end up
watching replays instead of practicing! I LOVE LeMans! Sam

Nothing special, 3:25 in the Eagle and 3:29 in the Cooper.  Only done about
15 laps so far though.
Those default setups are all over the place (no offense to whoever made
them) so I'm using the default 1.2 patch Spa setups for each chassis.

I already have a favourite corner, i don't know it's name though, but after
the tight left and right at Indionapolis, theres a couple of really gentle
kinks before you go into an awesome high speed chicane, first left then
right.  Still trying to get through both parts flat out (and ending in the
trees fairly often).  I love that bit.

I didn't say what the REST of my laps were...  I feel like Thomas Edison - I've
learned 999 ways how NOT to make a good lap...<g>

Sorry Todd, I never answered this.  I'm using my Spa setup.  I figured the high
speed straights would require similar handling.  I'm pleased that I actually
guessed RIGHT, for once<g>

That corner sounds like Maison Blanche (White House).

I took the Lotus out for a few laps (with the Spa default setup) and managed
a 3:27.57 - just barely hitting 199mph - I feel like I should be scrunching
down in the***pit to try and reduce frontal area. <g> I'm not being
aggressive enough in using all the track width in most corners, so I've got
some room for improvement, but I doubt I'll ever get near the hot-shoes'
3:17 - 3:15 times.

But it's a great track - my hearty thanks to all those who put in the time &
effort to produce it!

Dunno, it's not the chicane right at the end where you go between the two
houses, but the faster chicane before that.  The first turn, the left is
totally flat (i've usually just reached 5th gear as I turn in), and the
second turn, the right, should also be flat I reckon, but only if I can get
the first turn right.  I reckon if I cling to the left of the road through
the left hander, I can get a straight enough line through the right hander
to take it flat also.

There's a replay of me taking my favourite Le Mans turn in my
super-dooper-cooper here-

http://www.sbdev.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/cool.zip (ony 12k)

Only got up to 4th by the turn, but I'm sure it can all be taken flat out.

I'm stuck at 3:23.2 in both the Lotus and Eagle using Allison's Spa
set-ups. Top speed on Mulsanne is 198(Lotus) and 201(Eagle). I'm having
a blast driving this track, I love it.
