tyre temps in various games

Could somebody advise as to what the ideal temperatures are for
different cars? What should ideal temperature be on e.g. a 60ies F1
car in GPL, a modern F1 car in F1-2002 or in GTR2002 Mod??
I try to get the temps equal on all tyres (give or take a couple of
*C.. ) But how much *celsius can temps differ on the seperate tyres
and still deliver good performance??

Doesn't seem to matter in GPL (within limits).  I read somewhere that
ideal temp in GPL is around 185 F, but I have found that setups where I
ignore temperature and just try and get the inner/middle/outer temps
flat on each tire are as much as a full second faster than setups where
I tried to play around with tire pressure in order to get the average
temps closer to the ideal values.

In F1 2002 it depends on which tire you are using.  The values are shown
in the *.tbc files in the vehicle folders.  I don't remember them all
but they are typically in the range of 100 to 110 C IIRC.

Doug Arnao mentions the optimum GTR2002 tire temps in the installation
instructions.

I was so gung-ho to drive the things that I never did peak at the
readme that far down but you are right, it is all there...
my mistake

Thanks,
