CART96 for ICR2 is here!

by Earl » Mon, 25 Mar 1996 04:00:00

This should've been posted hours ago, but my news server spool was full -
sorry to keep anybody waiting.

It's finally done!  In its first preliminary version, the long-awaited
follow-up to last year's CART95 set, and the first complete ICR2 car set
available to the general public (with no speculative or imagined entries
filling the field), is now here for your racing pleasure.  I hope those
of you who have spent the off-season playing with CART95 will be just as
impressed with this set.

This set accurately depicts the existing and future announced cars in the
1996 PPG IndyCar World Series.  All logos and graphics have been
reproduced as faithfully as possible at this early stage in the season.
References include AutoWeek, Racer, and various photo sources on the
World Wide Web.
Special thanks go to Peter Burke for providing numerous photos from
Homestead, without which I would still have absolutely no reference shots
of quite a few cars.

The set has been uploaded and is available from
http://www.racesimcentral.net/~unions/indycar2.html (look for the link
about 1/3rd of the page down - it will take you to a new page with NEW
screenshots).

Please be sure to see the readme.txt file for further details,
clarifications,
credits, etc.

Enjoy!

Earl

P.S. See the home page for details on Rover's anti-IRL shirt proposal.
