Finished my first race on vroc without crashing

After many attempts I've finally made it through my first vroc race
without a crash. Took a bit of luck as I almost got taken out first lap
in a melee at masta. The I ran 4 straight 28s in my trusty REP. OK, it
was just a 5 lapper and I am hella slow but it was fun fun fun. I held
off a rapidly approaching lotus for 4th place. Now if i can just figure
out how to maintain speed through burneville-->malmedy. Thanks to all
with their advice about masta. I just take it easy through there now.
Was doing pretty good in another Spa race until I got a vroc*** from
a speeding eagle. I think GPL should model front end damage a bit more
ruthlessly to prevent such nefarious activities.

One thing I've seemed to notice is that when there is a rear-end
collision in GPL, it is the car that gets rear-ended that really takes
the hit, often flipping off the track, while the offender that hit him
gets off free. I hate to admit it, but I used this to advantage one
time in a particularly messy VROC race. A guy had just punted me off
the track for the 2nd time in the race. We both Shift-R'd about the
same time and I found myself right behind him. I was pissed and ran
into him from behind. He was flipped off the track again and I
continued ahead with no damage. Felt guilty and good at the same time :-
