Perhaps I missed an answer to the question about why the engine sound seems
so weak and gets lost on the track with AI. I fiddled with the sound but
still it seems very weak. Any suggestions?

That would be NSR not HSR :-)

The plr file settings don't appear to be operational.  I couldn't get them
to work either.
