Problems with Thrustmaster F1 Force Feedback Wheel

by <m.. » Sat, 27 Dec 2003 20:15:48

Hi all.

I have the WheelThrustMaster F1 racing with FF.
I have a problem with the installation.

If I install the Wheel without the Trustmapper software I succeed to see
the peripheral one correctly connected and working and us game without
problems. If I install instead the Trustmapper software Wheel to
scompare from the peripheral ones of system. The same defect ago is
with the included version of the software in the confection is with
the last release of software.

Now, I need to separate the aces of the pedal-key for
being able to brake and to accelerate in the same moment.

How I can make without the Trustmapper software?

Thanks to all in advance.

Problems with Thrustmaster F1 Force Feedback Wheel

I had the same problem when I had one. I don't think you can set
split-axis pedals without the thrustmaster software.

I didn't think the software was very well laid out or reliable, and the
latest version (10.0 iirc) was no better in this respect, but the FF
effects were alot better.

Although the wheel itself was solidly built the base of the pedals snapped
near the throttle hinge after 3 weeks, and when I returned it to the shop
I swapped it for a Momo Force and haven't regretted it.

imo the only think going for the TM F1FF over a Momo Force (if you can
find one) is the solid paddle bar & the pair of analogue paddles, although
these paddles would be more useful if they could be assigned separately
from the pedals.

The hardware is a very similar level of quality to the momo, but imo the
TM software lets down what is otherwise an excellent wheel.
