Andy

With the imminent release of GP2 and my dislike of driving indycar2 with
a joystick I am now extremely tempted to get a T2.

In the UK I have seen a few places advertising them, but the best price
I have seen was a company in the back pages of PC Zone or PC Gamer
(both) who were advertising the T2 for 120 incl VAT.

If you or anyone else in the UK knows of a better place to buy one from
or a better deal I'd be glad to know.

Regards
Richard Miles

I can highly recommend it ! The wheel is *** padded and comfortable
to use for long periods. The pedals are very nice indeed - much better
than the bizarre devices on the T1. The gearshift takes a bit of
getting used to but once you have it is fine. If you are into racing
sims then this is an essential purchase.

I got mine from Strategic Plus by mail order. It cost 150 UKP. Their
telephone number is 0181 977 4822. They have an email address

them ! Fortunately their mail order service is somewhat more efficient
then their mail reader.

BTW, the T2 is not the only steering wheel available. There are at
least two others than I know of. One is the TSW which you have to
order direct from the US costing around 250 - 300 UKP (I think). The
other is the Extreme Competitive Controls which goes for around 350 -
400 UKP (!!). I have heard good reports about both of them so if you
are feeling flush then you might want to check them out.

And very good they are too. I've never had a single problem with them
when I've purchased software. I'm going to get a TM FLCS and TQS from
them very shortly, which will be my first h/w purchase from them.
Hopefully that will go as smoothly as my s/w purchases over the last 2
years.

Hold your breath... stlg 465 by the time you've payed import duties,
VAT and handling charges, I think it was. And that's if you go collect
it directly from Gatwick Airport, so add some train fare onto that if
you don't own a car, as I don't. But it's worth it!!!

>Saw the pictures on
>the ECC site - it does look like a mighty impressive and *heavy* piece

It is!!! My poor arms were crying out after I'd lugged the two boxes
(one on top of the other) from the train to a taxi. I think it was
heading on towards 40lbs all packed up. The two items are about 16lbs
(wheel) and 12lbs (pedals) individually.

Out of curiousity, what are the dimensions and weight of the TSW
setup, anyone?
