Indeed.  Just remember to uninstall the old ones before installing the
new ones, unless you like your system going haywire (and possibly
re-installing Windows).

I got lucky. I was able to use the keyboard (as my mouse was freaking
out) to uninstall the drivers, and all is well after putting the new
ones back in manually.  Phew!

Haven't noticed any difference with racing sims, though, but the
inability to play certain .wav files and inability to use internet
telephony applications has gone away.

Of course, it'd be nicer if the manufacturers of my other sound card
would fix it and get it back to me at last so I can continue doing
MIDI stuff...

Then again, it'd be nicer still if I magically could afford an AWE-32...
