What is the bang for the buck PC steering wheel?

I had an LWFF but it broke, a MOMO Force, but I sold it. I would like a
new wheel so I can get into RFactor. Preferable something easy to detach
from the desk. What do you recommend ?

Like my Microsoft wheel but I don't think you can find them anymore
..... had mine for 2 years, I race 2 nights a week and it still works
like the day I got it.

The Logitech Driving Force Pro is good.  The wheel base is much more
compact and easier to remove than the Momos or LWFF but the actual driving
experience is better than any of the other Logitech wheels.  Even though
it's a PS2 wheel, the drivers from Logitech's site fully support it and it
works with every game I've thrown at it including the old ones (FF in GPL
works fine).  The pedals are the same as the Momo Racing which are pretty
nice to drive but not built to last unfortunately.  It also has 900
degrees of rotation which is excellent if you're into rallying or
drifting.  In games like rFactor though, 360 degrees is probably the sweet
spot.  The shifter paddles aren't as accessable as the Momo paddles but it
didn't take me long to get used to them.

The only downside is that it's twice the price of the Momo Racing with the
same weak link (the flimsy pedals) but it does feature a steel wheel
bearing, 900 degrees and more buttons.  Well worth it I'd say, but Momo
Racing is probably better bang for buck.
