To make it more clear, they had two machines hooked up on a network.
The red car is played by the second guy on a different machine, and
that's where the sound for the red car comes from -> from the second
machine.

With all this negative shit going on with GP3, I wonder what GP4 will be
like. If it's not a 100% new game, no one will buy it. I know I won't.

Actually, I think in reality 95% of GP3 and GP4's sales will come from
people who have never played GPL and never visited r.a.s. and don't consider
themselves sim racers.  What will appeal to the majority is the
accessibility and the gameplay.  I think no matter how much we all rant on
about the physics model here (I like GP3 in general, but the physics is no
match for GPL), it won't stop GP3 and GP4 from selling by the bucket load.
