Announcing a New Internet Stock Car Series

by Bruce Brownle » Wed, 27 Dec 1995 04:00:00

The 'Internet Stock Car Series' (ISCS) is formally announcing it's
formation.

ISCS is a new series starting in February using Papyrus' NASCAR Racing (NCR)
simulator.  It is not intended to compete with any current series, we just
want to offer an additional choice for internet racers.  The main difference
with ISCS is that it does not deal with the "total experience" as IWCC did.
No car numbers are assigned, no Press Releases will be made by me or
required of drivers.  ISCS is just a place to compare your talents with
others on a common playing field.

Some interesting points of ISCS:
- Races are run at 50% length, pace, caution, and damage options on.
- Everyone will use the same weather settings which will be retrieved via
email 24 hours prior to the race.
- Opponent strength settings will vary by track.
- Race dates for ISCS correspond to the actual Winston Cup dates.  All races
in the Championship Season will be run.
- Scoring for standings is based on finishing position and laps down.  Ties
will be scored as such.  Persons tieing for a position will share the
average of points for all tied positions.
