I think that equates to around 320 usd.  That is high.

320us is about right Shock.

Sadly the present weaker  US dollar is hurting me for selling the Redline
unit to the US.
I was competitive before the dollar weakened.

Thats life I guess.

Hey Nigel,

Not your fault.  I got some people over here in the US I'd like to spew off
at the mouth about because of the fact that our economy is in the pits but
if I did that then this would become a political screaming match between a
bunch of americans.  I don't think anybody wants that.  LOL.

If you have that kind of money to spend on a set of pedals, you won't be
let down, I keep saying time and time again that people who haven't
tried a pedal set like these, or ECCI's pedals or BRD's Speed7 pedals
don't know what they are missing, it's the brake pedal man, it's the
brake pedal, the clutch is a bonus and I can live without the smooth
action of the throttle pedal, but the brake pedal......once you've tried
it it's impossible to go back to regular "positional" pedal

It all depends on how "serious" you are of course, for the "casual"
gamer the expenditure would hardly be worth it, mine is now 4 years old
and have served me well and I can easily see them lasting another 4
years without breaking a sweat, 320 usd spread over 8 years.....I can
live with that :D

Beers and cheers

Interesting endor***t. I like NR so these is not much need for braking
beyond a simple drag to bleed some speed (traffic), but at the few
tracks with real braking I suck badly compared to all other tracks and I
have never liked my ability to get the exact braking power I want
consistently.

Thanks Nigel! What sort of resolution does this converter give on the axes?
Other gameport/USB converters give a very stepped output (something like 128
steps on each axis, best I've heard of is the Actlabs USB adapter that gives 256
steps (8bit)). If it uses a 10bit (1024 step) converter or better then it would
be ideal for those looking to switch from gameport to USB.

To be honest Ken I don't know what resolution the Rockfire gives. However
all Redline units I sell that are to be used through the Rockfire adapter
must have 250k pots fitted rather than he 100k's I use for gameport units.
The 250k's offer the smooth control. Bear in mind this is for the pedal unit
which is not as critical to have high resolution as it is for the steering.

Cheers
