test, OE problems

This is a test to see if short messages will go out using OE.

I am getting this error

Outlook Express could not post your message.  Subject 'Re: RASCAR: More
rules "crap"..... ', Account: 'news.tds.net', Server: 'news.tds.net',
Protocol: NNTP, Port: 119, Secure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 10054, Error
Number: 0x800CCC0F

when I post long messages.

This trouble just started, so any advice appreciated.

Thanks,
Gerald

your message may be over the length limit

I used to get things stuck in the outbox with error messages much like that
one too, until a friend told my these two things.

1. OE does not like to use the "switch identity" function. It is much better
to "exit and log off identity" then restart under the new identity.

2. OE does not like to use the "synchronize functions".

When I followed those two rules I quit having trouble altogether. Maybe this
will help in your case.
