GP4 + TSW2?

I saw GP4 for $5 at EB, so I figured what the heck, I'd give it a try.
I downloaded the patch and saw that it was supposed to fix wheel
calibration problems. Well, it didn't do me any favors. My TSW doesn't
work to well. I had to calibrate it with my Brake pedal as the gas,
and my Clutch pedal as the brake. What's up with that?
Does anyone have a split axis .con  file that works with a TSW2 they
can send me?
I also get an error at start up that tells me I need to install DX 8.1
before I can play. Huh? I have DX 9.
I'm glad I only paid $5 for this. I'm beginning to think that $5 was
too much.

You need to reassign the axis
Do so by reselecting the controller for an input, even if it is already
selected.
You then get a screen with all the axis. Move your controller and select
with the mouse the axis that responded.

I did that. It doesn't see my accelerator pedal. Me thinks this game
is very flawed. If it can't do controller calibration, what else can't
it do?
